Review by: Tyson

What my book is about: Linus is a runaway teenager who has been drugged and kidnapped by a man on the street. When he comes to, he finds himself trapped in a building with no windows or access to the outside world except through an elevator. Over the following weeks, five other people of all ages and from all walks of life appear in the elevator after having been kidnapped as well. Linus and the others realize that they are being constantly filmed by their kidnapper– their arguments, their escape attempts, their moments of panic and despair. The book has a compelling plot and fantastic characters that are very believable.

The character I felt most strongly about: Jenny, a 9 year-old girl who appears in the bunker (that’s what they figure out the place where they’re being held prisoner is), really, really hit home for me. I felt so protective of her, so tender, so frightened for her. The suspense and suffering in this book was really just too much for me, mostly because of the presence of Jenny.

A part of the book that really stands out for me:
