Rating: ☆☆☆, a good read

What my book is about:
This book is about how life is different for whites and blacks during this time in Alabama. Scott and Jem are just now realizing this when they go to church with Calpurnia. Her church is an all african american church most are welcoming to the kids because there father is white but he is defending there friend Tom Robbison. One lady named Lulu dosen’t want the kids there though. Then latter some men go to the jail to try and lynch Tom Robinson.

The character I felt most strongly about:
I feel most strongly about Jem because he is very creative in his words but still gets in trouble some. He always wants to know what his father is doing though.

What the main character has learned and how I think they’ll change:
Scott is learning that whites dont like black and visa versa. I think she is going to learn more stuff that she will be desperped by.

How this book gives me hope (or not):
It gives me hope that even though there is stil racism but then we as people have overcome it and we still can if we try.

How the story would be different if told by someone other than Scout:
I think you would not be able to connect to it as much and it would be a more boring read.
